Apple Launches Public Beta of tvOS 27 With Performance and Audio Improvements
Apple has released the public beta of tvOS 27, giving Apple TV 4K users early access to a range of performance enhancements and new audio capabilities. The launch comes ahead of the operating system’s full release, due later this year. The beta is available as part of the Apple Beta Software Program and can be installed on compatible Apple TV hardware.
Among the new features and upgrades included in the update is is support for Hi-Res Lossless playback through Apple Music, a redesigned Podcasts app, improvements to AirPlay connectivity, and a faster Control Centre interface aimed to provide better responsiveness
According to Apple, the update also delivers noticeable performance changes, with faster app loading times, set to improve by up to 30%, and animations appearing smoother.

Members of Apple’s Beta Software Program can register their TVs and install the update under the Settings app.
The public beta is intended for users who want early access to new features before the official rollout expected in September. As with all pre-release software, Apple cautions that bugs and compatibility issues may still be present and recommends installing beta software on secondary devices where possible.
