Amazon Offers $140 Bonus To Aussie Staff Who Get Vaccinated

Amazon Australia will be offering a “vaccination benefit” for its frontline workforce, in the form of a one-off $140 payment to those who choose to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The “special payment” is available to eligible fulfilment centre and delivery station workers. The company is also offering “access to paid or unpaid leave options to attend vaccination appointments.”

On top of this, Amazon is offering voluntary onsite COVID tests to workers at its fulfilment centre and delivery stations in Sydney.

The company explains that this “enables our workforce to gain easier access to testing, and relieves some of the pressure on community COVID-19 testing sites” and that the tests are performed. by a reputable third-party organisation.

“Onsite testing complements the many safety measures already in place at our sites to prevent the spread of COVID-19″, Craig Fuller, Director of Operations said.

“Our absolute priority is to create a safe environment and maintain privacy of the people who are getting tested. It has been well received by our teams in Sydney and we look forward to offering the convenience of this service to everyone working at our sites in Victoria in the coming weeks.”

“Above all, the aim is to provide reassurance for our team, and providing easy access to regular testing for workers onsite helps with early identification and isolation of people who are asymptomatic and might be unknowingly transmitting the virus.”

Onsite testing is currently available daily at sites in Moorebank, Regents Park and Frenchs Forest and will be introduced at Melbourne sites in August.
