AEG’s latest innovation, a high-speed pizza oven, is already being hailed as the standout product of IFA 2025, with industry insiders tipping it as a future retail bestseller.

The oven, which can bake a pizza in just 160 seconds, has even won over Italian-born Biag Capasso, CEO of The Good Guys, who gave the pizza’s cooked in the oven a telling endorsement: “very good.”

At the heart of the appliance is AEG’s new PizzaExpert function, which heats a cast-iron tray to 340°C. Unlike traditional stone bases, the tray delivers rapid cooking and takes just 150 seconds to recover before the next pizza is ready. A dedicated pizza peel and the tray will be sold separately as accessories.

AEG says pizza ranks as the fourth most commonly cooked oven dish, though it declined to name the top three. The company argues that limited time, appliance constraints, and skill gaps have held back homemade pizza adoption—something PizzaExpert aims to solve.

The function is available in the new AEG 7000 MealAssist oven, with mass production set for 2026. Retailers are already eyeing it as a strong second-half product next year.

To support home chefs, the oven includes a digital assistant via the AEG app and an EXCite Touch TFT display, guiding users through dough preparation, timing, and cooking. The technology is also approved by Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli, one of the world’s leading authorities on pizza making.

AEG also highlighted its momentum in the European market, claiming to be the fastest-growing built-in kitchen brand since early 2024.
