Yamaha wins EISA prize for High-end Home Theatre
Yamaha’s aspirations to move into the high-end home theatre market have been rewarded with the company taking home the EISA prize for European HT High-end Home Theatre 2014-2015.
The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) incorporates nearly 50 specialist magazines from across Europe and serves as the technology world’s largest independent awards panel. The Awards are a celebration of the most desirable and highest performing home entertainment products with categories ranging from television panels to cameras.
“We’re excited to be the recipient of such a prestigious award”, commented Justin d’Offay, product manager for Yamaha Music Australia’s AV Division. “To achieve such acclaim both here and abroad is a testament to not only the products themselves but to the vitality of the multi-channel audio market.”
The CX-A5000 (pre-amplifier) and MX-A5000 (power amplifier) combination features a market-leading 11.2 channel configuration with a 150W per channel. According to Yamaha, state-of-the-art connectivity and a feature set including many Yamaha-exclusive technologies also contributed to the model’s popularity.
“The two separates, both of which employ rigid vibration-damped chassis, hook up via balanced XLR or cinch connections. In tandem they are exhilarating and able to enliven even the dullest-sounding speakers,” reported EISA.
“The CXA5000’s parametric equaliser produces superb room correction, including extensive bass management, with all eleven channels individually assignable to suit a variety of configurations. Meanwhile, the MX-A5000 utilises its discrete amps to deliver astonishing levels of power. Overall, Yamaha’s CX-A5000/MX-A5000 pairing makes a superb choice for a high-end home theatre,” the EISA concluded.
The CX-A5000 and MX-A5000 are available now at selected Yamaha Specialist Retailers with an RRP of $3,499 each.
