Dendy Offers Offline Viewing

The option, which is also available from fellow small streaming outfit EzyFlix.tv, sets the independent cinema chain apart from better known streaming services like Netflix, Stan, Quickflix and Presto, and is set to put it more in competition with the likes of iTunes and Google Play stores.

The offline playback on Dendy Direct will work on both Android and iOS devices, and was announced as part of a range of service upgrades.

The Dendy Direct apps will also work with Apple TV and Google’s Chromecast, the thumb-sized device that plugs into the HDMI port on TVs, enabling them to stream video from a mobile device.

Dendy has also developed an application that will work on some of Samsung’s Smart TVs.

Dendy Direct offers more than 500 movies and a number of TV shows for rental or purchase.
