Internet Of Things Blossoms
A report by corporate finance adviser, Hampleton Partners revealed US$9.4 billion had been spent in the past three years to acquire so-called “Internet of Things” suppliers.
About $5 billion, or more than half of the total of those acquisitions, was spent in the first nine months of 2014.
The study of more than 100 transactions in the category found early consolidation has been led by Google.
The report predicted acquirers next year could include Intel, AT&T, Johnson Controls, Texas Instruments and Juniper Networks.
