Alibaba Network Opens Up To Bigcommerce Stores Under Partnership
The partnership means Bigcommerce’s 70,000 stores can now access and purchase more than 30,000 products from about 300 of Alibaba.com’s “gold suppliers” in China.
This has the potential to expand to over three million products from thousands of gold suppliers, Bigcommerce stated in a press release announcing the partnership.
The partnership is designed to provide online merchants buying from Alibaba.com a “seamless experience” in accessing wholesale suppliers in China.
Jointly developed by Alibaba.com and Bigcommerce, Bigcommerce states “the custom-built application provides a unique catalogue of wholesale suppliers in a secure and familiar interface, so merchants can quickly find and select new products to sell online”.

“This new application provides Bigcommerce merchants with direct access to Alibaba.com wholesale suppliers, offering competitive prices to realise better profit margins.”
Bigcommerce clients using the Alibaba.com Wholesale app will have access to services including: integrated search, transparent purchasing from suppliers, customised pricing with lower order minimums, and payment protection.
