You Can Put LG’s New Keyboard In Your Pocket

You Can Put LGLG states its Rolly Keyboard differs from other products on the market in that it folds up along four rows to create an easy-to-carry “stick”, fitting into the user’s pocket.

The Rolly Keyboard, which sports a 17 mm key pitch, features high-contrast keys and a fold-out mobile device stand.

It is made of impact-resistant and durable polycarbonate and ABS plastic, with LG stating typing “offers satisfying tactile feedback not found on flexible silicone keyboards”.

Two arms fold out to support smartphones as well as tablets in an upright position, while unfolding the Rolly Keyboard enables an auto-pairing function to connect to two different devices at the same time via Bluetooth 3.0, with the ability to toggle between the two via a key press.

A single AAA battery provides for up to three months of average use.

“LG Rolly Keyboard is just one of the many premium input devices we’ll be unveiling in the coming months as we expand our accessories offerings,” Seo Young-jae, LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company vice president in charge of Innovative Personal Devices, commented.

“The goal was to create a product that could add more value to LG smartphones and tablets, at the same time offering a unique design proposition that hadn’t been explored before.”

LG states the Rolly Keyboard will make its debut in September in the US, followed by key markets in Europe, Latin America and Asia in the fourth quarter, with prices and details of availability to be announced locally at the time of launch.
