Qualifi Forced To Airfreight New Bluestream AV Cable After Demand Outstripped Supply
According to Qualifi CEO Michael Henriksen the Company only airfreights as a “last resort”
“We have been swamped by demand for this product as installers realise that it delivers an excellent opportunity to replace multiple cables in a home or office with a single cable “.
Qualifi moved into the networking component market with the launch of new HDBaseT-equipped HD AV distribution products called Bluestream AV in July and since then the Company has recorded record orders for a product that has been described as a “dream product” for AV installers as it saves time while delivering extended capability for the distribution of AV products.
The cornerstone of HDBaseT technology is 5Play, a feature set that converges uncompressed full HD digital video, audio, 100BaseT Ethernet, power over cable and various control signals through a single LAN cable.
Designed for whole-home and commercial distribution of uncompressed HD multimedia, HDBaseT enables a single LAN cable to replace multiple cables and connectors in the home entertainment and business environment.
Bluestream AV’s product range includes HDBaseT matrix switchers, modular chassis switchers, extender kits, receivers and both HDBaseT and HDMI splitters, all of which are currently on display at the annual Integrate expo, running from August 26 to 28.
Bluestream AV says its solutions aren’t just for modern homes, but have almost limitless applications in conference rooms, board rooms, retail stores, education, sports bar, sporting arenas, custom installations and anywhere you find display devices.
Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, the Company says it is committed to designing and manufacturing affordable, easy to implement and ultra-reliable HD video and audio distribution systems.
The HDBaseT Alliance, of which Bluestream AV is a member, was founded by LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Valens in 2010, with the Alliance saying its members “play a vital part in defining the future of digital connectivity in the consumer electronics, professional AV and content provider industries.”
