Black Friday Sales Bring Cops Out

In the UK, police were called to a number of supermarkets and big box stores across the country after squabbles broke out between shoppers over Black Friday tech bargains.

British police were called to Tesco stores in Edmonton, Willesden and Surrey Quays and an Asda outlet in Barnet. Further scuffles were reported in Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow and Dundee.

Black Friday is the USA ‘s traditional day for shopping bargains, always on the day after Thanksgiving, which falls on the last Thursday in November. It’s followed by the online Cyber Monday (ie, today US time), which may bring further cross-Atlantic problems.
