Samsung’s ePoP eliminates the footprint normally taken up by memory in a high-end smartphones said Stephen Lum, product marketing manager for mobile memory at Samsung. This could allow for a larger battery so that the phone lasts longer on a single charge, or could mean smaller, thinner devices.
The first product to make use of the tech will be a new version of Samsung’s Exynos 7 Octa.
