Microsoft Drops Xbox 360 Price By $20 to $100

Microsoft Drops Xbox 360 Price By $20 to $100

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 games console can now be purchased from $179, a drop of $20 from its previous $199 pricing, with the Kinect-equipped model seeing a $50 price drop and two other models seeing a much nicer $100 price drop.
The Company is billing this as the Xbox 360 getting even better, thanks to the newly lowered prices, new bundles, a hard drive upgrade on two models to 500GB and a new special edition console.
Mike Nichols, an Xbox Marketing VP said: “Coming into its ninth holiday shopping season, Xbox 360 continues to deliver amazing games and entertainment experiences to consumers.
“These new bundles for holiday shoppers, new lower price points and new special edition blue console are sure to delight gamers, young and old this holiday,” added Mr Nichols.

The new Xbox 360 deals will be in stores this week, with the 500GB “Holiday Value Bundle” now coming with what Microsoft says is “two of the most popular first-person shooters on the platform, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.”

This bundle also comes with one month of Xbox Live Gold access, a hard drive that’s now 500GB in size and at a nice $279 price.
EB Games is also exclusively selling a special edition version of this bundle – in blue. Dubbed the “Xbox 360 Special Edition Blue Bundle”, you naturally get the console in blue and the controller too, decked out with “arctic blue accents”. It’s identical to the bundle listed above but comes in blue and is available at the same price.
Microsoft boasts the Xbox 360 has more than 5,200 titles with this list set to grow even bigger, as Forza Horizon 2 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare coming to Xbox 360 very soon.
The new titles add longevity for existing Xbox 360 owners while serving to tempt those who are yet to jump onto the games console bandwagon but don’t want to spend the larger amounts required for the Xbox One or PS4.
