LG To Launch 24 Bit Curved Sound Bar Tipped To Be Sub $1,000

LG To Launch 24 Bit Curved Sound Bar Tipped To Be Sub $1,000

The new wall-mountable soundbar will complement the curves of the Companies new $10,000 OLED TV that was recently launched in Australia and is seen as the best TV in the market today.

The Wi-Fi-enabled LAS855M Music Flow bar incorporates LG’s Music Flow wireless-multizone-audio technology, which is already available in the Korean Companies Wi-Fi speakers.

Music Flow supports wireless distribution of 192kHz/24-bit music stored on smartphones, tablets, computers, and NAS drives over a Wi-Fi-based 2.4GHz/5GHz wireless mesh network.

The system can be controlled from an Android or iOS app on a mobile device.

The new soundbar also features Google Cast, that enabes users to stream music from Cast-enabled streaming apps to Music Flow speakers throughout the house from Android and iOS phones and tablets, Macs, Windows laptops, and Chromebooks.

Cast-enabled streaming apps include Google Play Music, Pandora, Songza, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, Rdio, and others. Like other Music Flow soundbars, the LAS855M can be used with any pair of Music Flow speakers to create a home theater system in which the speakers deliver discrete surround effects. Other features include stereo Bluetooth and i-Sound mode, which detects the type of content playing and automatically tailors audio output for sports, movies or music. The bar also features 4.1-channel 360-watt speakers system with wireless subwoofer, HDMI pass through, and compatibility with TV remotes from eight manufacturers, letting consumers control basic functions such as volume and on/off.

Pricinmg for the new soundbar has not been announced but it is expected to be around $995 in Australia.

Samsung already offers curved soundbars with wireless multi-zone-audio technology built in.
