HTC Back Flogging Phones
HTC is back spruiking a new smartphone to retailers despite five years of losses and a woeful marketing record for their devices.
The Wildfire X is a new smartphone from HTC however some tech reviewers have said “it’s probably not worth getting excited quite yet” after seeing the device.
The new device has a triple camera along with a 6.2-inch HD Plus screen, with an 8-megapixel teardrop selfie camera positioned at the top.
The camera on the rear of the device has three lenses in total, with resolutions of 12, 5, and 8-megapixels. It will run on the latest Android 9 operating system and the Helio P22 processor is a 2.0GHz octa-core affair. On top of that, it will have a 3300mAh battery.
After riding high at the top end of the market HTC is today relegated to trying to carve a niche out in the cheap value market, the device is tipped to be sub $340.
It’s set to compete up against the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and the Motorola Moto G7 Plus as well as models from Alcatel the leader in the value smartphone market.
