Optus is first telco to announce pricing of the long awaited LG G3 5.5″ Quad HD smartphone.
It opened online pre-orders today offering a free 8.3 inch LG G Pad (worth $399) to the first 100 ordersand a bonus wireless charging dock on all G3’s purchased. Online pre-orders kick off today until 3 August.

Optus are offering 5.5″ LG G3 outright for $696 or on a $60 plan (+$5 phone fee) over 2 years, which includes unlimited included minutes, 2GB data, unlimited standard national SMS and MMS. There is also $53, $80 and $100 plan options.
The smartphone goes on sale nationally on 4 August at Telstra, Vodafone and Harvey Norman, who are also offering G3 on pre-order.
G3 will be up against stiff competition from the forthcoming iPhone 6, Samsung’s rumored new Galaxy ‘F’ smartphone.
It runs Android 4.4.2, quad core processor, built-in wireless charging and 13mp laser focus camera. It will come in Metallic Black, Silk White and Gold shades.
