Windows 10 UI Refresh Leaked

Screenshots leaked online have revealed elements of the major interface redesign Microsoft is planning to roll out for Windows 10 in 2017.

According to MSPoweruser, the update “will heavily focus on animations, simplicity, and consistency – essentially bringing back Windows 7’s Aero Glass and mixing it up with animations like the ones from the Windows Phone 8/7 era.”

They say that Microsoft will also be introducing a new design quality called Acrylic for developers, allowing them to blur away elements of an application. neon-2

There are also some minor changes being made to the taskbar at the bottom of the user interface alongside functionality designed for use with VR and HoloLens applications.

Further details are expected to arrive at Microsoft’s Build conference in May, with the update not expected until well after the Windows 10 Creators Update arrives in April.
