Vodafone, NextDC And Continuum Announce Staffing Changes

• Vodafone has named the company’s director of sales, Ben McIntosh, as director of its consumer business unit, a new position. According to CEO Iñaki Berroeta, the position merges the existing sales director and marketing director roles, following a decision by chief marketing officer Loo Fun Chee to return to Malaysia for family reasons. He said this would create a “streamlined structure and simple and seamless end-to-end processes,” setting Voda up for future growth.

• Datacentre builder and operator NextDC is looking for a new independent board member after incumbent Elizabeth Gaines announced she is moving out to join Fortescue Metals as its chief financial officer. “The board thanks Elizabeth for her invaluable contribution to  the ongoing development of NextDC,” said chairman Doug Flynn yesterday. “She brought a wealth of financial and management expertise to the board. We will miss her, but wish her all the best in her new role”.

• Managed services company Continuum has named co-founder Frank Bauer as its Asia-Pacific MD as it looks to expand across the region. He will relocate to Sydney from the US, where he has been senior channel development manager for Continuum, and will work from the company’s recently opened new HQ.
