Harvey Norman & Apple Top NSW Complaints List Again

NSW Fair Trading has published its complaints register for the month of April, revealing Harvey Norman and Apple are among the most complained about businesses in the state.

While Harvey Norman dropped out of the top spot with less complaints than last month, NSW Fair Trading received 23 complaints about the retailer in April, making it the second most complained about business. Harvey Norman has remained in the top five since the list began in July 2016.

Apple was close behind with 22 complaints covering a range of topics, including the company’s laptops, smartphones, tablets and gift cards.

Ray White received 25 complaints making it the most complained about business for the month, with four additional real estate businesses also among the top ten. Ticketing website Viagogo received 16 complaints putting it in 6th position, while LG Electronics received 13 complaints putting it in 8th.

The Good Guys, Telstra and Foxtel all dropped significantly in the list with half as many complaints as the previous month or fewer.

The complaints register by NSW Fair Trading compiles each complaint it has received from a “real person, relating to a real interaction with a business”, and only lists businesses with at least ten complaints during a calendar month.
