Focal Unveils New Wireless Headphones

Focal have announced a range of new portable headphones aimed at “customers who are both techies and audiophiles”, including two new wireless models.

The self described “experts of headphone design” have refreshed their Listen wired headphones released last year to create Listen Wireless, featuring Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity with aptX and a battery life of up to 20 hours.

Listen Wireless headphones have a connection range of up to 15 metres, and also feature omnidirectional microphones for improved voice clarity.

Alongside the Listen Wireless over-ear headphones, Focal also unveiled three new pairs of in-ear headphones.

The new Spark headphones are available in both wireless and wired versions, and feature 9.5mm Mylar drivers and a three button remote control with microphone. The wireless versions also support Bluetooth 4.1, and have a battery life of up to eight hours.

Rounding out the new headphones is the Sphear S, an update to Focal’s wired in-ear Sphear released in 2015.

Pricing and availability for Australia has not been announced.
