Bose Flaunts New Wireless Soundbar and Surround Sound Systems

Bose have announced three new wireless sound systems, including a soundbar and two home surround sound entertainment systems.

The new SoundTouch 300 soundbar is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled with NFC connectivity, allowing for simple pairing to most devices. The soundbar is equally powerful at streaming music as it is while watching movies, shows and sport. It features PhaseGuide arrays that send signals to the left and right room, simulating surround sound without additional speakers.

“We pushed the boundaries of size, sound and design like nothing else
available in the category,” said Bose’s audio-for-video GM Pete Ogley.

“And because it doubles as a wireless music system and home theater system, you’ll get an incredible experience whether you’re listening to your playlists, enjoying Netflix, or watching the game — all from one gorgeous speaker.”

Other features include QuietPort technology for deep, clean distortion-free bass regardless of volume, ADAPTiQ calibration for custom sound based on your home, and HDMI Audio Return Channel so only one cable is needed between the SoundTouch 300 and a TV or media player.

The soundbar is also future-proof with 4K pass-through, and gives the option to connect with additional speakers and a new bass module for a full 5.1 experience.

Bose’s Lifestyle 650 and 600 are both 5.1 luxury surround sound systems and share similar features. The 650 features the smallest satellite speakers Bose has ever produced, while the 600 has slightly larger Jewel Cube speakers.

Both systems, like the SoundTouch 300, also feature QuietPort and ADAPTiQ technology and 4K pass through. The Lifestyle 600 and 650 models are also Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled, and feature six HDMI inputs to connect your entire home entertainment system.

Despite the complex technology, both surround sound systems are easy to setup and control, with plain-language instructions helping initial setup and a universal RF remote allowing for control of other devices.

The SoundTouch 300 soundbar is available now for $999, with an optional new bass module also available for $999, and optional surround sound speakers starting at $449. These products will be available from Bose retail stores, authorised dealers and Bose.com.au

The Lifestyle 600 home entertainment system will retail for $5,499 and the Lifestyle 650 for $6,999. The systems will be sold at Bose retails stores and authorised dealers.
