World's Most Expensive 2-Ways Sold In QLD

By Sarah Falson | Thursday | 14/02/2008

Northside HiFi in Queensland is the first Australian dealer to stock ?the world?s most expensive? two-way loudspeaker system, the Bowers & Wilkins Signature Diamond series which retails for $28,000 for a pair of Limited Edition speakers.

The new Signature Diamond was created to celebrate Bowers & Wilkins' 40 year birthday, and brings together the company's most advanced technologies to create a "quality of listening experience that's unheard-of from a two-way speaker," according to Australian distributor, Convoy.

Northside HiFi in Aspley, Queensland, has already delivered the Signature Diamond in both White Lacquer and Wakame Veneer finishes, and is now stocking the new Signature Diamond series.

The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond tweeter (first seen in the 800 Series reference range) has its own unique marble housing to complement both finishes.

"Quite possibly these are the best Bowers & Wilkins yet," said Mervyn Marshall of Northside HiFi.

"They are more open and more detailed than anything I have ever heard."

The Signature Diamond can be auditioned at Northside HiFi alongside other models in the Bowers & Wilkins range including the 800, 700 and 600 Series and the new CM1 mini monitor.
