Synergy Takes On Mission Distribution

By Staff Writers | Tuesday | 08/04/2008

Synergy Audio Visual has announced its appointment as the new Australian distributor of British-founded Mission loudspeakers.

The distributor says it will work with a committed range of retailers to develop the brand long term in Australia alongside its other Hi-Fi brands such as Cambridge Audio, Primare, REL and Rega.

The Mission brand was founded in Cambridge, England in 1977, producing a range of loudspeaker ranges, and was eventually acquired by International Audio Group in 2005. Mission now manufactures a range of loudspeakers for every application using an engineering-led approach to product development, Synergy says.

The design and engineering team is still UK based and led by Steve Hewlett. Working with IAG in production helps provide value for the money, according to the company. They also say Mission stands apart from many other loudspeaker manufacturers, as it is one of very few that produce all speaker components in-house, to ensure performance and economies of scale.

Synergy will be bringing in Mission's current M and E series products, as well as the upcoming MV and 79 series.
