The Melbourne office will coordinate Kaspersky Lab's operations and business development in Australia, New Zealand and other countries of the Oceania region.

Currently, Kaspersky Lab collaborates with 6 distributors and hundreds of resellers in Australia and New Zealand. The Kaspersky Lab regional office in Oceania will provide partners and users in the region with the most comprehensive support and will extend the range of available services.

Besides, a direct company presence will allow establishing closer cooperation with its partners and improving the quality of technical and marketing support. It is also important to note that Kaspersky Lab's constant presence in the region makes it possible to improve the reaction time against local IT threats even further.

CEO of Kaspersky Lab, Eugene Kaspersky said, "Australia and New Zealand were among the first international markets that our company entered in late 90s. For the several years of our presence in the region we have achieved not only a substantial market share and popularity, but also earned respect and recognition among our customers, and we are determined to keep it that way"

"Our new office in Australia will help us to improve the quality of our services provided both for end customers and partners and will increase our business outreach throughout the entire Oceania region. I'd also like to note that the Head of the regional office, Alexey Gromyko, is a highly professional manager who has years of experience in the Australian and New Zealand markets and has a deep knowledge of the IT security industry in the region. I believe that with his help our company will be able to become one of the most successful IT security companies in the entire Oceania very soon, " added Eugene.
