Consumers are not happy with the web sites of most PC consumer technology and major appliance manufacturers according to the latest's Satisfaction Index (ACSI) study from research Company Foresee Results.

Who said there was a downturn? Consumer electronic sales in the Asia Pacific region including Australia and New Zealand grew by 13% in the first half of 2008 to US$ 11.5 Billion dollars, according to research group GFK who have said that they are ?very bullish? about the next six months.

 

GFK In $4.4B Merger Deal Staff Cuts Coming
GFK is set to merge withTaylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) a UK research Company. The deal worth $4.4 billion will save save TNS over $152 million over three years as they plan to cut $500 jobs. It is not known whether any jobs will be cut in Australia.

 

Home Networking And Hi Fi Markets Set To Grow
Home networking penetration worldwide will grow nearly 50% from 2008 to 20010, according to a new Parks Associates white paper. The growth comes as telecommunication carriers like Telstra get set to role out new home gatway products that allow consumers to take advantage of central storage and content options. Parks have also said that adoption of networking technologies will make installed home theaters and multiroom audio systems more affordable, opening up this market to more consumers at low-to-medium income levels.
