Westan founder and owner, 66 year old Victor Aghtan, started in the business 20 years ago when he was lured from Singapore to Australia to sell Western Digital drives.
4 years ago Westan started selling media centres and sound systems, as well HD conference gear.
According to an ASX statement, Westan's net tangible asset value, is $5 million. The share sale was brokered on behalf of Wintech by Western Australia-based investment holding company, Dayspan Holdings.
The distribution business will remain under the Westan brand, manned by its 48 staff.
