Samsung eliminates the need to purchase a Blu-ray player and a home theatre kit separately with the HT-BD2T. The unit can play Blu-ray discs, DVDs, CDs, MP3 and JPEG files (burned to disc), and utilises its 7.1 channels to provide users with surround sound.
Out of the box, users will find seven speakers (Left and right front speakers, Centre speaker, L/R surround speakers, L/R surround back speakers), a subwoofer, and the head unit that acts as the Blu-ray player and amplifier. It also comes with four, easy-to-assemble piano black stands in case users would not want to mount the speakers on their wall.
The speaker system sports a piano black finish similar to Samsung's LCD TV range. And while it may add a touch of class to any room, users would have to be careful of fingerprint marks and smudges that may be seen on the main unit. Luckily, Samsung has included a cleaning cloth to get rid of those unsightly marks, allowing users to keep the unit as clean as possible.
