McIntosh Returns to Vacuum Tubes with New Integrated Amplifier
American luxury audio brand McIntosh has unveiled its first vacuum tube integrated amplifier in more than a decade, launching the new MA2375 as it looks to strengthen its position in the premium hi-fi market.
Distributed in Australia by Synergy Audio Visual, the MA2375 combines a fully analogue vacuum tube preamplifier and power amplifier in a single chassis, targeting audiophiles seeking traditional valve amplification without sacrificing modern system integration.
The amplifier delivers 75 watts per channel and features McIntosh’s proprietary Unity Coupled Circuit Output Transformers, designed to provide consistent performance across 4-, 8- and 16-ohm loudspeakers.
The MA2375 remains unmistakably McIntosh, featuring the company’s signature blue watt meters, illuminated vacuum tubes, polished stainless-steel chassis and green backlit logo.
The amplifier employs four KT88 output tubes, four 12AT7 driver tubes, two 12AX7A preamp tubes and two additional 12AT7 preamp tubes.
A built-in five-band analogue equaliser allows users to fine-tune audio performance, while a High Drive headphone amplifier with McIntosh’s Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD) supports premium headphone listening.

Connectivity includes six analogue inputs, a configurable moving magnet and moving coil phono stage, subwoofer output, preamplifier outputs, Home Theatre PassThru, Data Ports and RS232 control for custom installation environments.
McIntosh has also incorporated its Power Guard Screen Grid Sensor (SGS) technology and Sentry Monitor fuse-less protection system, designed to safeguard the amplifier and extend tube life.
The launch comes as McIntosh continues operating under Bose ownership following Bose’s acquisition of the McIntosh Group, including Sonus faber, in late 2024.
The new amplifier signals that McIntosh remains committed to high-end analogue audio despite the change in ownership.
Australian pricing for the MA2375 is expected to be around A$32,000.
