Logitech International, the world's largest maker of computer mice, posted an 11.5 per cent rise in first-quarter net profit, boosted by the strong performance of Harmony-brand remotes, according to reports.
First-quarter net profit rose to $US29 million, compared with $US26 million for teh same period last year.
However some market analysts expected the company to post a net profit of $US33 million, making the actual figures seem a bit downgraded.
Logitech, which also makers speakers, webcams and keyboards, said its first-quarter gross margin rose to 34.1 per cent from 33.7 per cent in the year-ago period, with retail sales growing 19 per cent.
