TDK says that taking home the ?Gold Turntables' paves a clear path to celebrity DJ status and secures solid bookings at acclaimed clubs and international dance events for many years.

Bree McKenzie, Marketing and Communications Manager for the TDK Life on Record brand, "The World DJ Championships have become a major event in Australia - not only for the nation's promising young DJs - but for anyone who enjoys hip-hop music and culture.  It's the ?Australian Idol' of DJ-ing - its aim is to discover new talent by giving young DJs a chance to perform to and impress industry figureheads as well as compete for the major title.

"It's an ideal environment to profile TDK Life on Record's range of headphones, which following a successful Australian launch will be ranged throughout Asia Pacific, Europe and the US shortly," continued McKenzie.

Australia's winning finalist will this year travel to London and step onto the world stage to scratch, beat-juggle and cut their way into DJ stardom.
