Netgear Expands Wireless-N Networking Products

By Mendelson Tiu | Friday | 11/04/2008

Netgear has launched five new Wireless-N products that promise to deliver fast download/upload speeds and wider range for easy connection throughout the home.

The new range include the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router (WNDR3300), RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router (WNR3500), 5 GHz Wireless-N HD Access Point/Bridge (WNHDE111), HD/Gaming 5 GHz Wireless-N Networking Kit (WNHDEB111), and RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB Adapter (WNDA3100).

According to Netgear, all its Wireless-N products have incorporated multiple internal antenna arrays based on revolutionary metamaterials technology. Based on patented antenna structures, but using conventional and inexpensive manufacturing techniques, the metamaterial antenna array places multiple antennas in close proximity, directing signal energies to targeted wireless devices while avoiding any signal collision or interference with each other. The unique ability to have antennas placed close together enables Netgear to incorporate six to eight internal antennas in a compact design to deliver superior coverage, throughput and stable connections.

Equipped with the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) feature, the Netgear products makes it fast and easy to connect clients to the home network by pushing the "Push ?N' Connect" button. Advanced Quality of Service (QoS) ensures lag-free gaming, jitter-free streaming of high-definition video, and delivers clear, reliable Voiceover-IP phone calls. To ensure the best-possible experience for users who access movies, music, TV shows, games and software through their BitTorrent subscriptions, Netgear's new Wireless-N product family is currently undergoing BitTorrent Device Certification.
