| Samsung Tops Flash But Toshiba Grabs Cash

Although Samsung maintained its lead in the segment, the company saw its global market share by revenues decline to 39.6 per cent in the first quarter, down from 41 per cent in the previous quarter. Toshiba managed to boost its share in the global NAND flash market to 26.4 per cent in the first quarter, an increase of 4.1 percentage points from the fourth quarter due to a ramp of its 56 nm production, the report noted.
