Ingram Micro Grabs IBM By The RSS

By Branko Miletic | Wednesday | 07/05/2008

IBM Australia (IBM) has confirmed the appointment of Ingram Micro Australia as an IBM Business Partner distributor for its Retail Store Solutions (RSS) business, offering the complete point-of-sale and kiosk product suit to Ingram Micro Australia resellers.

Business Manager Linda Pifat stated, "Ingram Micro has been offering Point of Sale solutions to resellers for over a year, and with the addition of IBM RSS, Ingram Micro is able to offer even more choices of complete end-to-end solutions".

IBM's RSS Channel Business Development Manager, Aleks Stanojevic, stated, "Ingram Micro brings a wonderful mix between knowledge of the IT market space and the ability to provide specialised solutions to Point of Sale and IT resellers. Building on the already impressive relationship between Ingram Micro and IBM, we are now able to provide our Point of Sale solutions to Ingram Micro resellers. This, mixed with the already impressive list of products currently available from Ingram Micro, mean that Ingram Micro will continue to offer a compelling choice when choosing a distributor."

Ingram Micro is currently able to offer the full product range from IBM RSS, including the popular SurePOS 300 Express and SurePOS 500 Express bundles, which include cash-drawer, receipt printer, integrated customer display, monitor and the retail hardened terminal.
