Featuring Epson's ReadyScan LED Technology business users get the benefits of instant scanning with virtually no warm up time and increased energy efficiency with less heat dissipation and lower power consumption. The GT-1500 also has mercury free LED lamps, reducing its environmental impact.

With its fast scanning speed the GT-1500 does not sacrifice quality. The built in 3 line optical CCD sensor means the GT-1500 is capable of scanning at up to 1200dpi optical resolution at 48 bit colour depth, which allows the scanner to quickly complete high quality scans of documents and images.

Epson Scan 3.4 Software gives business users a variety of document management options. Including the ability to perform 'Document Solutions' such as double sided scanning, searchable PDFs and password protected PDFs. Other features include 'Document Image Adjustment Tools' including text and colour enhancement.

Epson Event Manager 2.0 allows users to tailor their needs on the GT-1500 with the option to customise the scanner's four action buttons - start, copy, scan to email and scan to PDF. Using the bundled Epson Event Manager software, each of the four buttons can have one of the four pre-defined settings or the ten user defined customer settings assigned to it. This allows the user to define the scan settings, save settings or launch settings. Epson has created these features with the busy workplace in mind helping to ensure time efficient scanning.
