Dell Shows That Size Matters In PC Land

By Branko Miletic | Monday | 28/04/2008

They say that small is beautiful, but Dell is taking that mantra to new levels. Small laptops may have been hogging the limelight lately, but Dell's new micro PC could bring attention back to the desktop real estate.

Dell has previewed what the company calls "the company's smallest and most environmentally-responsible consumer desktop PC."

The small desktop is apparently 81 per cent smaller and uses up to 70 per cent less energy than a typical desktop mini-tower, according to the company.

However there was no comment on hardware specifications, brand name or pricing ? details Dells says will be released later this year when the desktop is rolled out.
The desktop, which stands on a holder, will also come in recycled and recyclable packaging and will most likely compete with Apple's Mac Mini.
