And by the end users, Millers means "architects and designers".
This notes Millers, makes the 2008 Expo a must for all those wanting to see "the latest and greatest technology for home automation".
In fact, according to Miller, events such as these fro the AV industry, as far as he is concerned are "imperative".
The
Pro AV market is growing as a business and as governments turn to new technology to deliver additional benefits such as IP education in universities and schools, to boardrooms incorporating screens and automation systems, video conferencing and projectors, education will be very beneficial to those installers wanting to get into this part of the industry.
This is why another theme in this years show will be a very strong emphasis on education, which Miller says "already more than 20 per cent of the expo is devoted to education, which as far as we are concerned is something that there is a real need of in the industry".
Education sessions at Expo 2008 will be presented by AMX, Clipsal,
Crestron Control Solutions, LeisureTech Electronics, LightCraft by HAL, Matchmaster and
RTI Controls Australasia.
Overall he notes the breadth of the exhibitors is very good this year, especially "in the display and commercial products area", which notes Miller, is designed to make this expo "more geared toward the commercial installer".
And insofar as numbers goes, last year notes Miller, the Expo attracted some 3798 visitors, which included 2816 attendees, a figure he says this year should be "bettered".
