Samsung Releases 100Hz 3D Plasma TV

By Branko Miletic | Saturday | 02/08/2008

The Samsung 450 Series Plasma is designed to bring 3-D television and gaming into Australian lounge rooms. The 450 Series Plasma not only supports existing 3-D content but is also able to create 3-D viewing when playing back ordinary 2-D DVDs.

The 450 Plasma is also the first and only plasma television on the Australian market with Real 100Hz.
The technology increases the frame rate by inserting an intelligently calculated "middle frame" to deliver smoother, more realistic display of motion.

The unit features 1,000,000 to 1 contrast ratio and Filterbright technology – to ensure the clearest picture in a wide range of lighting situations. Samsung's DNIe+ (Digital Natural Image Engine Plus) is also featured; providing optimal picture quality and the ultimate in natural looking image reproduction.

The 450 Plasma is available in 42" and 50" and retails for $1899 and $2529 respectively and will require 3D glasses to be bought separately.
