LG Reveals Seamless Plasma TV

By Mendelson Tiu | Wednesday | 30/04/2008

LG is rolling out a bezel-less plasma TV in an effort to address the ?need? of consumers for a large screen with an eye-catching design.

The new PG60 Plasma TVs are the first plasma televisions to incorporate single layered technology, creating a seamless, bezel-less look. And while traditional plasma TVs are characterised by a thick bezel surrounding the screen, the LG Plasma TV Series fuses the screen and TV into one continuous unit, resembling a single sheet of glass - the result being the ultimate screen-only TV, says LG.

LG's TV Category Marketing Manager, Warren Kim said, "Consumers have shown a clear preference for larger screen TVs that combine minimalist design with the latest viewing technology. The new LG PG60 Plasma TVs represent our strong commitment to giving consumers above and beyond what they expect from our products. This range is the ultimate in unobtrusive, stylish design - offering premium picture and enhanced sound quality."

All TVs in the series feature invisible speakers which ensure a smooth, seamless look. And ensuring that aesthetics do not come at the cost of picture quality, the LG Plasma TV Series comes with High Definition picture quality, Fluid Motion 100Hz and a contrast ratio of 30,000:1. It also incorporates LG's latest plasma panels, upgraded for 2008, along with LG's Dual XD Engine that allow viewers to enjoy their favourite programs for extended periods of time without causing eye fatigue.

"Recently we were thrilled to receive industry recognition for our achievements in break through Plasma TV technology. The 50 inch model of the PG60 Series was awarded "Best of Innovations Award" at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in February," added Mr. Kim.
