Panasonic Energy Rates Its TV

By Mendelson Tiu | Tuesday | 02/12/2008

In an effort to give users an idea of just how energy efficient its TVs are, Panasonic has voluntary introduced television star energy ratings labels to all of its upcoming plasma and LCD TVs.

The first star energy rated 26-inch Panasonic VIERA LCD TV will have a three star rating and will hit stores this month.

Panasonic Australia's Managing Director, Steve Rust said, "Panasonic has strongly supported the television star energy ratings scheme and will be rolling out its labeling program across its new range as they are released to the market. It is important for the whole industry to get behind this scheme and help Australians make more informed decisions about the televisions they buy."

Panasonic believes that it is the first company in Australia to announce a television featuring the new star energy ratings label and continues its strong support of the national voluntary and mandatory labeling schemes.

The Panasonic VIERA TX-26LXD8A has a recommended retail price of $999.
