DIGITAL CAMERAS / COMPACT DC
New Wide Angle Cameras From Canon

By Mendelson Tiu | Tuesday | 09/02/2010

Canon has launched three new slim compact digital cameras to its Ixus range. These new cameras have wide angle lens, large optical zoom, as well as a TruCapture technology that optimises settings to suit shooting conditions.

According to Canon, the new IXUS 210 IS, IXUS 130 IS and IXUS 105 IS feature its TruCapture technology, making it easy for users to get the shot they want. This is achieved by combining three Canon technologies: Optical Image Stabilizer for clear, sharp shots; a DiG!C Colour Processor for true-to-life colours; and Intelligent Auto that makes taking photos easy.

The Intelligent Auto recognises up to 22 different scenes (18 for the 105 IS) and carries out the optimum image processing for that scene.

These models are the first in the Ixus range to feature Canon's new Intelligent Flash Exposure technology which automatically detects whether flash is required and adjusts the flash output, shutter speed, aperture and ISO speed to best suit the photo being taken. The new cameras also feature a Low Light scene mode that automatically controls the ISO sensitivity (from ISO400 to ISO6400).
