The HTDV40H comes with two front speakers and a subwoofer which is supported by Dolby's Audistry technology. This technology offer features such as Sound Space Expander, Natural Bass (optimised bass without distortion) and Intelligent Volume Control in order to deliver an impressive level of audio performance, the company says.
According to Sharp, the HTDV40H virtual sound technology gives the illusion of widely spaced speakers thanks to the Sound Space Expander function, which effectively fills the room with high quality sound from just three speakers. The system's Intelligent Volume Control function differentiates between soundtrack music, dialogue and commentary and automatically compensates for sudden changes in volume.
The HTDV40H is DVD, VCD, MP3, WMA, JPEG, CD-R/RW compatible and also comes with a USB host for streaming music files from USB devices or MP3 players. Other terminal options include HDMI out (1080i), S-video, video out (RCA), DVD component out, optical audio input (x2), analogue audio input and Scart terminal. The system includes an FM stereo tuner and a full function remote control.
The Sharp HTDV40H DVD Cinema is now available with an RRP of $799.
