The new models will offer upload speeds of up to 1.9Mbps via HSUPA as well as download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps via HSDPA.

Both new i-mate models will be powered by Windows Mobile software and will have features such as Direct Video Out so you can connect to a digital projector or TV to run presentations and video calls, Custom i-Q so you can define your personal settings quickly and easily, and Secure i-Q to remotely lock and wipe the Ultimate device if it's ever lost or stolen.

Telstra's Group Managing Director for Telstra's Product Management, Holly Kramer said, "We're excited to be the first mobile operator in the world to offer these new i-mate Ultimate devices. These advanced devices from i-mate are rated at downlink speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and uplink speeds of 1.9Mbps, making them the fastest PDAs available on the Next G network."

The i-mate Ultimate 8502 and 9502 will be available from selected Telstra shops starting March 25, 2008 and will have an RRP of $999 and $1,099, respectively.
