Dell said it will do this by applying the same direct sales aspects into Officeworks' stores.  This will allow shoppers to touch and feel Dell's products before making their purchase; configure and order a custom product online that meets their exact specifications - with the help of fully trained Officeworks consultants; and also Buy some Dell products with standard configurations, including the XPS M1330 laptop, the Inspiron line of laptops and desktops, and selected printers, ink and flat-panel displays.

Evan Williams, general manager Consumer Sales and Marketing South Asia Dell said, "Whilst we continue to see growth in our online business in Australia, we recognise some people want to touch and feel our products, first.  Our partnership with Officeworks will enable them to do this before buying a computer that meets their exact specifications."

And David Oakley, general manager Marketing and Merchandising for Officeworks said, "? Our stores will not only stock 10 Dell computers not available elsewhere but will also have the capability to order tailored solutions for customers within the store."
