AV Specialists Will Not Miss Out Says NuVo Boss

By David Richards | Thursday | 21/08/2008

The CEO of NuVo Technologies who earlier this week announced a brand new multi room audio system that runs over traditional powerlines has said that CEDIA members and specialist AV installers who traditionally sell labour and wiring will not be disadvantaged by the new technology.

The CEO of NuVo Technologies who earlier this week announced a brand new multi room audio system that runs over traditional powerlines has said that CEDIA members who traditionally sell labour and wiring will not be disadvantaged by the new technology.

Speaking exclusively to ChannelNews David Rodarte, president and chief operating officer of NuVo Technologies said from the USA that in discussion groups with CEDIA members it was communicated that there is still good margin in the product and that the development of NuVo's Renovia system would result in the specialist channel being able to sell more of their new multi room audio systems more often.

We were aware that the CEDIA installer may have a problem with this product, but if you look at it we are still delivering an excellent solution for the specialist channel. We are also delivering a product that can be sold into locations where new wiring is not possible. Research conducted by the Consumer Electronic Association shows that consumers don't understand what multi room audio is, don't want the expense or mess associated with new wiring for a multi room system. Our new system can be easily demonstrated and installed quickly over existing powerlines. This presents big opportunities for the specialist Channel" he said.

Speaking from China NuVo CTO Rick Kukulies told ChannelNews that the new NuVo Renovia hub which has a built in source that delivers dual AM/FM tuners and allows users to plug in two iPod docks and two additional analogue sources was a major breakthrough for the Company.
