New Sharp LED Light Globe With Seperate Remote Control

By David Richards | Monday | 22/06/2009

Sharp is set to launch a brand new LED light globe that comes with its own remote control and a built in remote sensor that can alter the brightness and the warmth of the light. Users can also change the colour of a room in seconds.

Sharp, claim that the lamps that have the same standard screw-in base and fit in the same sockets as ordinary incandescent lamps are simple and easy to use as replacements for ordinary lamps.

The light features an adjustable colour function that enables users to change the colour of the white light emitted from the lamp using an accessory remote control, an industry first for an LED lamp.

Users can select from seven different shades of white ranging from a pleasing warm white to a cooler daylight white to match the weather, the season, time of day, purpose, or other preferences.

This model also features a built-in Dimmer Function to adjust brightness. Together, these features allow users to select the illumination they like best to complement a diverse range of interior settings by using a single remote control to change the colour and brightness of the light says Sharp.

In addition, the lights deliver a brightness of 560 lumens and 40,000 hours of use and are among the highest in the industry for an LED lamp despite having the same size and shape as ordinary incandescent lamp, the company claims.

If you want a nice bright-white light during the day, while you're working, fine but if in the evening you want a warmer, softer light, just touch a couple of buttons and you might as well be eating by candle-light.

It is not known when, or if, the light globes will be made available in Australia.
