HaiVision specialises in affordable DVD quality video and audio network video encoders for use over IP and ATM networks.
The company claims that with its low latencies HaiVision allows for natural and instantaneous remote communication without distortion, and is thus aimed at applications such as tele-medicine, interactive broadcast and telepresence.
In the new role Walker will be responsible for developing HaiVision's market awareness in Australia. This will include managing the training and development of resellers so that they are proficient with all HaiVision products across the range.
Walker, who has recently trained with the HaiVision research and development team, will also act as the core sales contact at IDT.
The company says Walker has worked for over six years in the IT industry, and has extensive experience in both technical and management fields, and is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and a Dlink Certified Engineer (DCE).
