At the last CES Show LG got a big round of applause when they revealed a Dick Tracy type wrist watch compete with phone, music player and storage. However it has taken Samsung to deliver a similar device to market.

As of August the Korean giant will start selling an 11.98 millimetre wrist watch for as cheap as US$650. It comes with dual-band (900/1800MHz) 3G capability, 40MB of storage, wireless and email syncing direct with Microsoft Outlook.
The S9110 from Samsung that has a 1.76-inch 176x220-pixel touch screen could be on sale in Australia by Xmas according to Samsung insiders. It goes on sale in France in August and the UK in September.
An ideal Xmas gift for the person who likes to impress the new watch has Bluetooth 2.1 built in, voice recognition, voice memo, a speakerphone, and an anti-scratch watch face.
It supports 7.2Mbps HSDPA.
